The difference between Japan and the west

This video uses a karaoke anecdote to illustrate a cultural difference between Japan and the West, arguing that Western "get rich or die trying" individualism wrongly frames self-care and caring for others as mutually exclusive. It suggests humans can and should do both, fostering a more expansive view of human capacity.
